Can you make a car key without the original?

Yes. If you have lost every key, we can cut and program a new one using your vehicle details. We ask for photo ID and proof of ownership first, such as your registration or insurance slip.

How long does car key replacement take?

Once the technician is at your car, many jobs finish in under an hour. All-keys-lost jobs on some European models take longer because the car’s computer needs extra steps. We give you a realistic time when you call.

Do I need to tow my car to get a new key?

No. We work where the car is parked, whether that is a driveway, an underground garage, a mall lot or the roadside. A tow is only worth considering if the car also has a separate mechanical fault.

Do you program key fobs and push-to-start smart keys?

Yes, for most makes and models. Tell us the make, model and year when you call and we confirm that we can do your car before we drive out.

What do I need to show you before you make a key?

Photo ID and proof that the car is yours, such as the ownership or registration. This protects you, because it stops a key being made for someone else.

Can you stop a lost or stolen key from starting my car?

On many vehicles, yes. We can erase lost keys from the car’s memory so only the new keys work. If you think the key was stolen, tell us when you call and report it to the police.

Is a locksmith cheaper than the dealership?
